Are you ready to embark on a journey through time and history? Join us for an exclusive tour of parts of Baird House and Park, a historic gem nestled in the heart of Uwchlan Township. This unique opportunity allows you to delve into the rich heritage of our community and experience firsthand the beauty of our surroundings.

Step Back in Time

Dating back to 1735, the Baird House holds within its walls, stories of generations past. During the guided tour, you'll have the chance to learn about the property’s history and explore part of the original house. Expert commentary by our Historical Commission members will provide insights into the significance of this historic landmark.

You’ll be able to pay your respects at our Veterans Memorial, where a sculpture commemorates the march of Revolutionary War soldiers up Ship Road to Lionville after the Battle of the Clouds. This road, part of the earliest surveyed road in the Township in 1712, holds a special place in our history.

As you’re guided through the grounds of Baird Park, you'll encounter connecting ponds, outbuildings, and even a log house replica. Members of our Environmental Advisory Council will provide information on the biodiversity of the park and recent initiatives to promote sustainable gardening practices as part of the Heart of Uwchlan project.

• Where: Baird House and Park, 715 N. Ship Road, Exton, PA 19341
• Admission: Free - all ages welcome!
• Parking: Available at Township Building.
• Accessibility: While the building itself is accessible, parts of the tour will be in areas with limited accessibility.
• Amenities: Bathrooms and water will be available. We also encourage people to bring their own reusable water bottles.
