Yard Waste Collected:
leaves - grass clipings - weeds twigs - small branches
Branches must be no more than 4 feet
long, no more than
4 inches in diameter,
bundled together and tied with string (no
duct tape or other tape) in small bunches
that can be easily handled.
Small twigs
that cannot be bundled should be placed
curbside in a rigid container. Leaves
and other yard waste ideally should
be placed
in biodegradable bags. Biodegradable bags are available at local
hardware/home improvement stores. If
placed curbside in plastic bags,
the bags
will be emptied and left behind. Please
place an empty trash can at the curb for
A.J. Blosenski’s employees to throw the
empty
bags in to prevent them from becoming litter in our neighborhoods.
No other trash is to be mixed in
with the above-listed
items. This pick-up goes to a composting facility. Please do not contaminate the load!
Please be reminded that burning
is illegal in Uwchlan Township.
The Board of Supervisors has contracted
A.J. Blosenski to provide
four spring
yard clean up dates for the convenience
of our residents.
As in past years, during Spring Clean Up, yard waste will
not be picked up with your trash. This means that from April 4th through May 14th do not put twigs, leaves or tree limbs out for
trash
pick up.
All collections will take place curbside
beginning at 6:00 a.m. on the dates listed. Please have your materials curbside the
evening before to ensure collection.

YARD SALE!
Spring cleaning often leads to a yard sale. No permit is required to hold a yard or garage sale
in Uwchlan Township. However, we do ask that you take down any signs you put up to advertise the event within 24 hours after the end
of the sale. This ensures that signs do not end up as litter in our neighborhoods.
Thank you!
SIDEWALK MAINTENANCE
If you have a sidewalk on your property, be reminded that under Ordinance No. 2001-10 you MUST have the sidewalk free and clear of
all obstructions to provide safe and convenient passage, including the accumulation of snow and ice. If you have bushes or trees that
have grown so they cover the sidewalk, please cut them back.
