COVID-19 Township Information

Uwchlan Township Update:

The Township has declared a Declaration of Disaster related to the COVID-19 pandemic as of 4:30 PM March 13th, 2020.  All non-essential personnel will be working remotely, when possible, with the front desk being reachable by phone 9am-3pm Monday-Thursday and 9am-12pm on Friday to assist with questions and/or concerns. The Township will continue to monitor the situation and make changes to this policy as needed. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation at this time.  The Township encourages all residents with questions and concerns related to COVID-19 to visit the Chester County Health Department by clicking the graphics below.

Important Township Information

  • The July 11, 2020 Uwchlan Township Community Day has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Permit applications/reviews, inspection scheduling and code enforcement activities (outside of an emergency) have reopened as of May 1st by the Governor’s orders. Contact information can be found below, please visit the Building and Zoning Department sections of the website for more information.
  • Township offices are closed to the public, with no public being admitted into Township buildings for any reason until further notice. All non-essential Board, Commission, Committee and Council meetings are postponed until further notice.
  • All Township parks have been reopened with restrictions. Playing fields (for group games and organized sports), pavilions and play ground areas remaining closed. The tennis courts on Wharton Boulevard have also been reopened. Please continue to practice safe CDC and PA Health Department social distancing when in Township parks. 
  • Eagle Disposal has announced a modified trash schedule due to the COVID-19 virus. Trash and Recycling pickup will continue on a normal schedule, however the following requirements are now in place for trash/recycling pickup:
    • All trash must be bagged and tied. Loose items will be not be collected.
    • All recyclable materials must be placed inside your recycling container, including your flattened cardboard. Recyclable items left outside of your recycling container will not be collected.
